Samurai Warriors 4-II is a hero-centric saga. Unlike previous Samurai Warriors installments, which focused on narrative exploration through the various regions of feudal Japan, this installment focuses on the characters themselves and tells their stories through 13 new chapters. Each chapter revolves around nine characters previously introduced in Samurai Warriors 4, three from previous installments, and one new addition to the samurai cast. The game will feature many improved features, with revamped battle, action, and character systems. It also adds a very challenging and rewarding mode called the Endless Castle. Players can choose to participate in it and fight for their survival for as long as possible; they can also play against the clock to see how far they can last in the increasingly difficult levels of the castle.
